Orthotics

An orthosis is an acrylic device which is individually prescribed and manufactured. Most orthoses for our clients are for lower limb correction. Prescription is by the client’s physiotherapist or occupational therapist. We are fortunate to be able to provide this service to our clients throughout Queensland at clinics held in our offices or through local visits to our regional clients. Manufacture of orthotics is done at Corinda by our technician and most of the items are provided at no charge to the family.

Our clients may also benefit from upper limb splints which are usually manufactured by the occupational therapists from specialised fabric.
