Darrel Bourke, Chief Executive Officer of MontroseAccess since mid-1996. Prior to joining us, Darrel was in a number of senior management positions within the electricity industry and local government. He holds formal qualifications in both accountancy and business, and is a member of the Certified Practising Accountants Australia and the Australian Institute of Management.
Since entering the disability sector Darrel has been actively involved in ACROD Queensland (now NDS), having held the positions of Chairman, Treasurer and Secretary. Darrel is also a Queensland representative on ACROD’s National Committee on Children and Youth Services.
Martha Saw joined MontroseAccess as Marketing Manager in August 2006. Martha has previously been Development Manager of a large children’s welfare organisation in Victoria, as well as Sponsorship Manager for a national icon in Canberra. Martha began her involvement in the not-for-profit sector in 1994. Together with qualifications in Communications & Media, Capital Fundraising, Public Policy and Bookkeeping, Martha is currently a member of the Fundraising Institute of Australia.
Sue Tonks commenced at MontroseAccess in 1977 as a Registered Nurse. Over the next few years, Sue was promoted to Deputy Matron, Co-ordinator Respite Services and eventually Manager of Respite Services. In 2003 Sue completed an undergraduate degree in Business Management (HRM) and is currently a member of the Australian Institute of Management.
Helene Frayne is formerly a Speech Pathologist. She worked for many years in adult practice prior to transferring to paediatric practice in 1996. Helene has been with MontroseAccess since 1997, first as the Senior Speech Pathologist and then as Manager of Therapy Services. Helene enjoys working with and relating to her staff, promoting MontroseAccess and advocating for funding for services for Queensland children and young adults with disabilities.
