You can help support MontroseAccess achieve its goals by volunteering your time with us to assist with many different activities. There are two areas of volunteering with MontroseAccess – these are clearly defined between activities with or without direct client contact. Please contact us for further information.
Volunteer Qualification
We welcome people who volunteer their time with us! If you are interested in assisting with administration, recreation, activities or outings with our clients, you are required to undergo a criminal history check and receive a positive blue card notification. You must have both of these clearances prior to participating in activities directly with clients under the age of 18. Initially, we will arrange an interview with you to discuss possible areas in which you might be interested and where we may require your assistance. Should you wish to participate in volunteering for fundraising and events, you do not require the above qualifications. You do require a desire to help, a positive attitude and great communication skills.
Current Opportunities
We are currently seeking volunteers for the following events and programs:
Brisbane Winter Racing Carnival:
This year, MontroseAccess is delighted to be chosen as the Charity Partner for the Brisbane Winter Racing Carnival.
We require volunteers to assist with our events held over this 5 week period:
12th May – Racefest
19th May – Doomben Cup
26th May – Doomben 10000
2nd June – Qld Oaks Day
9th June – Stradbroke Day
Volunteering to help will simply involve selling pins (Pin and Win raffle) for a three hour period, (10am – 1pm or 1.30pm – 4.30pm)

Reading For Fun:

Do you have some time and expertise to spare and would like to help MontroseAccess to support our clients and families?
We are looking for some movers and shakers to help us form committees to assist with the planning of fundraising events and to help expand our connections and networks in the community.
We are hoping to set up Friends of MontroseAccess committees in Brisbane and on the Gold Coast and Sunshine Coast. Friends of MontroseAccess will be supported by the Marketing Department to achieve goals which will help raise funds and awareness for our clients. Local business people, friends, parents and carers are more than welcome to join.
