A special partnership with MDF Nepal, a charity founded eight years ago by parents of clients suffering from neuromuscular disorders, saw our Occupational Therapist Christine Brown and Client Services Manager Mathilde Backhouse travel to Nepal in early 2012 to provide professional advice and assistance. The pair visited Kathmandu for the MDF Nepal neuromuscular conference, Pokhara for a week of needs assessments, and then Bhaktapur to meet families and carers in remote areas and experience their challenges first-hand.

Both Christine and Mathilde were inspired by MDF Nepal and say the partnership between MontroseAccess and MDF Nepal was a sign that "we are a part of the global community of families living with a disability".

Moving With The Times

After many months of research, consultation and investigation, MontroseAccess has decided it will be best served into the future to relocate its Corinda offices to a new location. Land will be purchased for the construction of a custom built respite centre. The new location is yet to be determined and no move is expected until 2014. The current Corinda site will be sold. For more information, read our Fact Sheet.
